Dear friends pls clarfy me whether osmanabadi goat breed is viable for goat breeding if yes why we in tamilnadu cannot get this breed for breeding purpose also there are few sellers around mp ,if any body sek\lling this osmanabadi goat breed in tamilnadu please give details .

Osmanabadi goat breed gets easily adaptable to any climatic conditions.Starting a goat farm with osmanabadi goat breed is highly viable and most profitable as compare to other breeds.The main reason for this are-
1.High resistant power against diseases,so mortality rate is low as compare to other breed.
2.High yielding capacity of milk and kids.
3.Higher palatability of meat,with high protein content.
4.Eats any farm fodder
5.Cost of goat is low as compare to other breed like boer,sirohi,jamnapari etc.So its affordable breed.
6.No problem in marketing,as it has very high demand for meat and breeding purpose.

There are only few goat farms in Tamilnadu that breed osmanabadi goats,as lots of people wont know this breed (unaware of benefits). Visit some of the goat farms near Chennai and Madurai,they have osmanabadi breeding goats or inquire the concern veterinarians there,they will guide you.
