I believe Ginger farmers are planting Ginger by this time. Requirment of Ginger for 2011 is estimated as below:

Conventional Ginger : 3000 Mt
Organic Ginger : 1000 Mt

There is a tremedous business potentiality for Ginger.

The most peferred Ginger is the Cochin Variety of ginger by overseas customers.

Growers from Kerala, Shimoga, Maharashtra and all Western Ghat Area can seriously look into the cultivation of Ginger.

We have following requirements next year:

Organic Ginger : 150 Mt
Conventional Ginger: 500 Mt
