Organic farming in South India

Hello I am from Thirunelveli deistrict and we have 8 Acres of land in between Thirunelveli and kanyakumari district. Past 6 years we did not do any farming and the land was empty.


Conventionally everyone grows banana trees near this place. I am thinking of doing some organic farming.

My question is,

1. Is there a need for organic products (prefer organic banana)?
2. How can I sell?
3. I have only 8 Acres of land is it too small to cultivate and un attractive for potential buys?
4. Anthing else I can farm now?

Dear Sir

i have heared that Tirunelveli has fertile soils only in scattered regions. Less fertile red soils are found distributed over most of the region.The district has mainly two cropping seasons, viz. Kar, the first crop (June to September)and Pishanam, the second crop (October to February).

pls give me the below details
1. water facility
2. ur area is hilly or plain
3.other facilities
4.soil type
