We are happy to inform you that we are organizing our eleventh one-day intensive training workshop on the above subject on 6th April (Sunday) of 2014 at the Nanniode Milk Cooperative Society Hall, Palakkad, Kerala. The details are as follows:
01. Topics :
Introducing Aquaponics
Pond dynamics, types of fish, types of plants, fish culture techniques, plant nutrients; technology, design of fish pond, grow beds, cost-effective construction, siphon operations; water chemistry, nitrification cycle – ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, dissolved oxygen, pH, and temperature; important ratios, economics, cost/benefit analysis; and many other relevant topics
02. Dates and Duration:
Date: 6th April, 2014 - Sunday
Duration: 10 AM - 5 PM
03. Medium of instruction: Bilingual, Malayalam/English. Q&A: Hindi/Tamil as well.
04. No. of participants: 40 nos. (First come – First serve)
05. Guide map/route: will be provided upon request
06. Workshop fees: Rs. 1000 (Includes training workshop, a coursebook "The Guide to the Future of Farming" written by Vijayakumar Narayanan, lunch and tea)

(iii) Demo Aquaponics farm visit (at Nanniode, 400 m from Nanniode Milk Society)
