New to farming

i hv purchased 6 acreas of land near AP/Karnataka border (bagepalli). since i am new to farming, i would welcome any suggestion as what to grow, farm layout etc.for shortterm/longterm. planning to put a borewell. soil is slightly reddish. i am interested in horticulture. any guidance is greatly appreciated.

why dont u grow pomegranate. there is alot of scope and benefit from pomegranate cultivation.
