Need information to start a poultary Farm?

Hi, Am planning to start a poultary farm in the outskit of Chennai. Can any one suggest how much I need to invest? What are the basic thing to follow? Is there any delarship available?

Hi,
You may want to decide whether you want to start form to produce egg or broiler chicken (Meat)

Here is the comparison:
For meat:
1. Has very short cycles. so, you can see the profit in each batch.
2. There are many companies like Suguna and Pioneer are there.
NABARD's Model Bankable Projects
3. Should avoid batch that meatures during sabari malai season.

Egg:
Has longer cycles.
You grow chicken for longer time and there by you get money on a daily basis.

The bottom line is one needs to work in the form for at least 3 months before starting a checking form. If one do not have 3 months time to invest, better to check some other business.
