There is a NABARD scheme for goat rearing . Under the scheme small unit of 40+1 ( Does & buck) and 500+25 . The unit costs are Rs.1.00 Lakh and Rs.25.00 Lakhs . The NABARd will give 25 % as subsidy on the above two unit costs. This year circular from NABARd is yet come for extension of the scheme.

Hi Rao,

NABARD schemes are always route ONLY through lead bank of a state,
never direct to a farmer.

Even if a project is approved, recommended by NABARD to a branch of
the lead bank in a state, it is discretion of the field officer and the br mgr
to sanction = refinance = the lead bank gets the project approved, funded
by NABARD, then subsidy, whatever is in vogue is eligible and there options
in reimbursing subsidy.

when u say scheme,
it is only a guideline by the subsidy of RBI for rural development.
I am the oldest Animal farming consultant in India and designed largest,
dairy, goat, pig farms in direct consultation with NABARD HQ.

talk to AD, Animal Husbandry, Lead bank in your town, talk, Dt. they are the ones have correct info for that specific area and have allocation of funds for sanction, disbursement.
