And also I need to know more about what all are the requirements to start a dairy business. Like area, approximate budget, size, finance, labor, animal feed, environment, dairy consultants and all

Commercial Dairy

Large scale dairy business is commercial dairy where minimum you can start with 20 animals (cow/ buffaloes). Starting a dairy business depends upon many factors such as availability of land, fodder production system, nearby markets, availability of cold chain, scale of operation etc.

In dairy 60-70 % cost of milk production comprise of fodder/ feed cost and remaining 30 % on dairy management cost.

Hi Satish,
You need to elaborate on large scale dairy business. I mean how much large? 20/50/100/500/1000? Because each capacity has its own advantages and disadvantages with respect to farm management, mehanization, investment, marketing, labour requirement, fodder and feed production/preparation, animal health mangement, bio security measures etc.,
