Need help with my farm

Hello,

I'm from Nellore (dist) in Andhra Pradesh. I have about 12 acres of VERY good agricultural land with 2 times paddy cultivated per year. Water is adequate.

Right now it is just used for paddy and 2 cows grazing. I want to better use it. Here are my thoughts.

1) Use borders for better purpose. Like planting some coconut, alma, and all possible trees. can any one suggest good trees for borders? Even thinking of Teak and Sandal.

2) I want to get some ONGOLE cows like 3-5. build Shed and storage. I like ONGOLE for pride sake. But would they sustain themself wthout any extra cost for me? any suggestions?

For borders you can plant Mahagony trees, which grows much faster than Teak trees. In 30 years it will be more than 100 cft and at current price each one will fetch you 1.50 lakhs. The price will be much higher at that time. It was just Rs.500-600 in 2000-01.
