Need help in setting up a "Pudina" based food processing unit

Hello,

I am working in IT sector in a management role and planning to come out from IT and get into Agri.

Planning to start a "Pudina" based food processing unit in and around Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. I need help on setting up and starting this unit, including getting bank loans.

Information required is:

Where can I get the required equipment/machinery.
Are there any banks which provide loans for food processing units, if yes, then what is the process to get the loan.
Is there any surity required to provide loan, if so what kind of surity.
Approximate cost estimates including land.
What is the process to export the food product ?

I'm in a similar position like u and gathered all data to start a FP unit,but didn't proceed yet. The challenge is to find a market.

what is that u r planning to produce? Ingredient or a ready to eat snack?

In any case, check out the existing market/competitors,demand & supply details, entry barriers and many other things like sourcing,quality etc.

u can get machinery details by getting a turnkey quotation for machinery from suppliers. check on trademart,or other B2B websites.

visit CFTRI to know more about the technology part of it.

for marketing, u will have to develop the strategy.


after all these, proceed ahead.
