Hi all
I have about 44 vigha land ( 20 acres ?? ) with a canal ( Narmada project)going right beside my farm.I use small diesel pump to get water out canal.
I have 1 net house ( 25x 40 meters ) ready and another is being built right now.Unfortunately I do not have electricity right now ( Dark Zone ).
I have drip set up already.
I have been farming traditional crops right now but want to know that how I can use my land maximally to get good profit as I heard lots of farmers earn tonns of money from the same amount of land
Any input/advise will be more then appreciated
Thansk,

consider all aspects before you plant crops

Although herb farming seems attractive yet when international prices crash, the herb farmers are at a loss. And one can never predict when the international market is going to crash. Isabgol (plantago ovata) is widely grown in Gujarat and may be a suitable crop for you. Similarly there are other herbs which are suited to a dry climate.

I would advise you to grow different crops-- cereals , vegetables, fruits and herbs and spices. Even if one crop fails or the price for it crashes, the other crops will be there to save from from total financial ruin. I hope you get my point.

Even with traditional crops if you can get your farm organically certified from a recognized certification agency then you may be able to get a good price for your crop in the nearest big city.

I can guide you further if you are interested. Please send me a private message giving your contact details. Thanks
