There is nothing like a 'Best Fertilizer" for any plant, like there is nothing like "Best Food" for humans and animals. As humans and animals, plants also require diverse nutrients, <> 60% of it they receive from atmosphere and remaining <> 40% only they take from soil and water. So, for good growth of Areca Nut trees there are certain companion plants, the atmosphere should be healthy, and there should be good water supply and the soil should be rich with required nutrients. Desi cow dung (5-10 Kg/tree per annum) mixed with same quantity of dry leaf matter and 1% fire wood ash can be good manure for Areca Tree. It should be applied at the end of the rainy season, and regular mulching with dry leaf matter is required during summer.
