Some Swaminrayan or other religious places are also having gir breed cows. Lokbharati, Sanosara in Bhavnagar District would be a ideal place to get information regarding Gir cows. Junagadh Krishi University is also rearing gir Cows for research and study purpose. Bharatiya Agro industries Foundation (BAIF), Urulikanchan(Pune, Maharashtra) would give prper guide line for Gir cows.
