Hi,
i have 2 acres farm in Thanjavur District. i have plan to do horticulture in this. So i have decided to make a bore for water. The bore specification is 100 - 150 Feet, Water level is 60 - 80 feet, Bore well size is 4inches with pvc pimps.

Now i need to purchase a pump to get water from this bore well. * I dont have E.B. Power in that place. so it should be by an diesel engine. How is possible this?

Give me a Technical guideline and full details of pump and brand name, price, contact details, how to purchase that pump, etc

And more information about horticulture as well. Thats why come here this forum to get more knowledge about agriculture as a newbie to this forum.

Any good guideline on my inquiry is much appreciate one.

Thank you very much for your time.

Bore well & Pumpset

Dear Rajan,

We sink a bore well up to a depth of 200 ft. The average cost will be around Rs.40000 to 50000 . If electricity is not available , engine with special pumps are available in the market. Or we can go for a generator for running the motor.

We can take up horticulture in 2 acres , whether mango or any other fruit crop to be taken up.

Apart from mango orchard we can take up sheep rearing, dairy etc for aumenting income as the initial cost of land development , minor irrigation , plantation and maintenance up to 5 years.

If you are going to avail a term loan from Banks please contact the undersinged for project report

Rajan, Please don't listen to any Marketing OR Agribusiness peoples from any firm/organization - Trust your local farmers in your area. They can give you some basic numbers by just word of mouth. That will be your starting point. In farming things are very specific and unique for each area, everything does not work every where. Personally I don't think it would be economical with Diesel/Generator/Solar/Wind with the maintenance and running cost they all have. Also With the amount of of investment you make, you need to calculate your net return also (Not the gross return). So be practical... while planning this.

Innovation is good, But fitness is better and more practical solution...

Thanks :)
