'National Institute of Agricultural Marketing' (NIAM) was set up by the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India at the instance of FAO with a view to develop agribusiness and marketing professionals. NIAM run AICTE approved two years full time residential Post Graduate Diploma in Agribusiness Management (PGDABM). Ten batches of PGDABM are already in the market with various well known companies.

NIAM select Agri graduates (B.Sc. Agriculture, Horticulture. Forestry, Fishery, B-Tech Dairy, Agricultural Engineering, Veterinary Science, Food technology, Biotechnology etc) through CAT to train them for Agribusiness Management. The programme content includes core management courses, supply chain management, input marketing, procurement, logistics, MIS, commodity price analysis, forecasting and marketing. The instructors are generally from IIM-A, XLRI, IRMA, IIFT and other reputed Business Schools.

In a recent survey NIAM (Click to see the ranking) has been ranked 29th among India’s top 50 B-Schools and 4th among sectoral colleges in ‘Outlook India’ B-School Survey 2011-12.
