Net profit per Acre per year is around Rs.8 lakhs (for domestics market). For Carnation cultivation under Poly house, Nominative cost of Project is Rs.50, 00000/- per Acre. Net profit per Acre per year is around Rs.8 lakhs (for domestic market). The Colored Capsicum cultivation under Poly house, Nominative cost of Project will be around Rs.35 lakhs per acre). Net profit per Acre per year is around Rs.7 lakhs (for domestic market). If temperature is to be stabilized then the nominative cost of Projects will be around Rs.44 Lakhs per Acre (Including Temperature Control System). If we want to construct precooling chamber, then the Nominative cost of project will increase. Cost of precooling chamber will be around Rs.10 lakhs.It will be suitable for 1 hector Project (1 hector = 2.5 acres).
If you want to export the produce (Cut flowers / vegetables), then precooling chamber & refer van is required. Also for export oriented project the minimum size of Project should be 2 hectors. The Nominative cost of Project includes following ØLand development, leveling, fencing ØCost of Plantation ØLabour charges ØCost towards Irrigation facilities like well, bore well, drip system etc. ØCost towards Farm equipments ØCost towards Infrastructure development ØCost of Poly house
National Horticulture Board is providing Subsidy up to 20 % of Project cost for Promoters who are interested to develop Hi-Tech Horticulture / Floriculture Projects. In this scheme the farmer / Promoter must have land in own name / firm’s name / on legal lease of 15 - 20 years. No subsidy or any assistance should be availed by promoter from any other government agency on this land before sending the application to NHB. The Promoter / firm can submit any number of Projects (provided the projects are made on different lands). There is no upper limit for any Project. But the upper limit for subsidy per Promoter / firm is Rs.25, 00000/-. Please note that before starting the Project Promoter has to get sanction form National Horticulture Board. The Project should be completed by taking maximum 75 % Term loan from any Nationalized Bank. We should not just start any plantation project as per our wish. We have to make survey regarding suitability of land, water, availability of manpower, climatic conditions, environmental conditions, adoptability of any crop to the present conditions at our site, availability of Transportation facilities, access to Market etc. The charges for first visit will be Rs.19, 000/- + to & fro traveling expenses from Trichy, Tamilnadu (or) Pune, Maharastra to Project site + expenses towards stay & food.
