Savera Farms is looking to hire a farm manager with relevant experience in horticulture. The candidate should have a minimum 15 years of experience.
Following are the expected responsibilities of the manager -
1. You will be overall in charge of the farm including day to day operations
2. Implement Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Integrated Farm Management (IFM) concepts.
3. Provide ideas on increasing crop and soil productivity, including implementing effective irrigation methods and water management
4. Manage the farm labor tactfully for optimal output
5. Execute farm development schedule/activities.
6. Liaison with agriculture consultants/visiting experts and understand the schedules/guidance and implement it
7. Co-ordinate with the local suppliers of farm inputs and planting material for timely delivery.
8. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle – from sowing, routine maintenance to harvest
9. Provide ideas and implement the entire farm design
10. Provide ideas for optimal land development prior to sowing
11. Identify and implementations of water management techniques across the farm.
12. Train farm labour on operation of farm equipment / systems including drip irrigation system.
13. Provide ideas on cultivation and marketability of short term crops
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Facilities include a fully furnished house with all amenities, 2 wheeler etc.
