Looking to setup organic farm near Mathura, U.P.

Hello,

I am looking to setup an organic farming venture in U.P. near Mathura city. Frankly speaking I have no expertise in this field and I am looking for someone with the expertise who know how to setup a organic farm and take it in to profitability venture.
As I am new in this field so It can be on a small scale to start with and I can provide the initial investment to get it rolling.

If anyone on this board can help me on this then please let me know regarding -
initial investment, starting process etc...

Hi Nitin,

Initially please get a training for yourself to start a farm at the agriculture department nearby. The horticulture/ agriculture officer will help you to understand the concepts of organic farming. Then you will have to get the soil and water tested. Based on the results you can cultivate a crop. The land needs to be certified by any certifying agency for organic cultivation. You can approach Indocert, Skal etc for certification.
