Savera Farms is looking to hire a seasoned horticulture professional with at least 5 years of experience in Mango cultivation
Following are the expected job responsibilities -
1. Identify nutritional deficiencies, pest concerns, flowering & fruiting issues, as applicable, in each unit of Mango, Moringa & Melia Dubia in order to prepare an action plan and execute remedies.
2. Implement Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Integrated Farm Management (IFM) concepts.
3. Provide ideas on increasing crop and soil productivity, including implementing effective irrigation methods and water management techniques.
4. Prepare and execute routine farm activities including spraying, maintenance of irrigation systems, fertigation schedules.
5. Liaison with agriculture consultants/visiting subject experts and understand the schedules/guidance and implement it.
6. Co-ordinate with the local suppliers of farm inputs for timely delivery.
7. Plan, develop and maintain vermi-compost pit sites for in-house consumption.
8. Manage animal husbandry operations including daily schedules, vaccinations, develop customer pipeline, etc.
9. Keep a log of maintenance schedule of all farm equipment, including tractor, power weeder, brush cutter, sprayers etc.
10. Keep an inventory of all pesticides and fertilizers used in spraying and fertigation.
11. Total drip irrigation system maintenance, including flushing of PVC pipes, laterals, periodic dripper checks, acid cleaning of drip system, cleaning of filters at regular intervals and inventory of drip items etc
12. Additionally, you will supervise miscellaneous tasks like fixing of lateral cuts, cracks and other drip related repairs.
13. You will execute periodic Irrigation and fertigation schedule for mango, melia dubia, fodder and moringa and will correspond with the concerned authorities in the above crops.
14. Supervise and carry out daily work schedule and keep a log of all the equipment checked out and ensure its return by end of day.
