Hi friends,

Can anyone suggest how to control leaf eater pest of lemon tree, Please suggest the pesticide and procedure.

Citrus leaf miner

This might be citrus leaf miner.

Leaf miner: Foliar sprays either with quinalphos 1.25 ml or fenvalerate 0.5 ml or monocrotophos 1.0 ml/litre of water at weekly intervals on new flush as soon as infestation is noticed.

If you want organic system then you can use neem oil mixed with some non-germicidal liquid soap as surfactant. In a 1 Liter spray bottle put 1/4 tsp of neem oil and few drops (as needed to mix the oil) of non-germicidal liquid soap. Add water and shake vigorusly and then spary. I suggest you try on one tree before doing on massive scale. The benefit is not as fast as chemical methods but is more nature friendly and less expensive.
