Farming- Is it a Good idea.
Hello Mr. Sudhakar,
I feel it is indeed a good idea to get in to agriculture. More & more people who were traditionally involved in agriculture are coming out stating several reasons. Many of these reasons are not good enough to quit & can be handled with proper management which requires better planning & focus.
Pl. read the article published in Hindu on 16th Jan 2014. The precision farming as
advocated by TNAU, CBE involves use of Chemical Fertilisers & Pesticides. The same
results can be certainly achieved & sustained only by using Natural Farming Methods
as taught by Shri. Subhash Palekarji. Use of Chemical farming may yield immediate
results but can not be sustained in the long run where it has been seen that the input
costs far exceeds the output or sale proceeds of the produce.
