Namaskar – Vanakkam – Greetings,
I am looking forward to work as a Manager on a medium to large scale progressive integrated farm in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala or Karnataka.
My name is Mohan and aged 44 years. Born in Andhra Pradesh and brought up in Pondicherry since my early years, I am fluent in english, tamil and telugu. For the past 5 ½ years I had been working in Italy as an information technology consultant at United Nations Global Service Centre (Brindisi). My contract is ending end of February and
I am moving back to motherland. I intend to getting involved in farming activities rather than taking up a job in other avenues since my dream is to becoming an agriculturist in coming years.
One may wonder why I had not purchased my own land and ventured into agricultural activities …
…. The reason, being an ardent believer in astrology, according to my horoscope the time is not favorable until June 2015. And the reason for choosing only the states mentioned is to visit my family as and when time permits.
As I have no formal experience in agriculture, I want to gain experience working hands-on in an integrated farm. I can devote and work 24/7 by living at the farm itself (currently I have no plans of shifting my family as my child needs to complete her education at her present domicile). Apart from my technical education, I had achieved six sigma certification and recently completed an Executive Masters Program in Business Administration.
I am sincere, dedicated, hard-working and quick at learning new skills. Tremendously impressed by lessons from Mr Nammazhvar, Mr Subhash Palekar and Ms Vandana Shiva (unfortunately I did not have a chance to attend their training sessions but intend to attend soon), I developed an acute interest in doing agriculture in the organic method and abhor usage of chemicals.
Given an opportunity, I am most willing to work on your farm and perform tasks at all levels including management of animal husbandry, stock management, implementation of modern feedlot production techniques, repairs and maintenance, independent work and manage a team of farm hands.
