I have a farm in Konkan, in Roha taluka. It is hilly terain (varkas) with red soil. I have planted 400 Mango trees 4 years ago in high density 5m*5m. Some of the trees are now fruit bearing.
The area has high rainfall especially in June July
Recently I read about the 5 layer farming of ZBNF. I am planning to plant Papaya in between the mango and pumpkin between the mango and papaya to maximise utility of space.
Wanted suggestions if this is a good idea. What is a good time to plant the papaya trees.
