Thank you for your kind enquiry of teak cultivation .Its a wise investment and nice cultivation now a days.In Asian countries the consumption of teak timber will be more and more for house construction & making domestic & commercial usages.Among the timbers the teak is the king tree.
In ancient and also earlier days the propagation teak plants by stump culture.But now a days the Argo sciencetist and the govt of Indian forest research sector formulated new method like Hibreed for better yield ,early maturity and many salient features.An account of this research the Tissue Culture propagation is familiar now a days.In Gujarat the vegetables & banana are also propagated by Tissue Culture (potato and banana) for high yield.
The tissue culture teak will grow very fast than the existing ordinary teak seedlings.The growth rate of the tissue culture teak will be minimum 12 ' and maximum 15'per year per tree.
The growth of the tissue culture teak trees will grow uniformly.(I.e if we plant tissue culture teak in one acre the entire plants will grow uniformly)
The maturity of the tissue culture teak will be expected on completion minimum 15 years onwards.The yield pattern of tissue culture teak timber will be expected approximately 15 to 20 cubic feet.
The tissue Culture teak will grow in red soils normally.I observed in some locations belongs to black soil the teak tree also grown not healthy.Normally the teak will grows in any type of soils but the yield of the teak will not in stipulated yield.The teak tree will grow any where in India since it's a tropical and semi tropical specie.
The Tissue Culture teak will be matured on completion of 15 years and above.But the ordinary stump culture teak will be matured on completion of 25 years and above.In Tissue culture teak will have the heart wood will be minimum 70% .In ordinary stump culture( from forest department or local nursery ) teak will have 30% of the heart wood.In teak timber the heart wood will have vital role I.e deciding factor for fix the price.So the tissue culture teak will gives good returns of income to the farmers in short period subject to the care ,well irrigation and soil condition.
