Can some one tell me what is the maximum milk a cow can give per day, which are the best breeds to buy and where they are sold and what they cost
 

In india the highest yield record is of 56kg in a day. We at Model Dairy have a highest yield record of 53 kgs, achieved by our prestigious HF cow "dairy Queen". Holstein is the highest milk producing cow breed in the world.

Available at Model Dairy Farm:-
 Holstein and Holstein Friesian cross Cows with milk yield capacity of 3000 to 7000 liters in a lactation ( 15 to 40 liters milk per day)
 Holstein Heifers with pedigree records
 All the Holstein cows are Functional Type- “good feet and good udders”
 Jersey and Jersey cross cows with milk yield capacity of 3000 to 5000 liters per lactation. (15 to 25 liters per day).
 Jersey Heifers with pedigree records.
All our cows, buffaloes, heifers and bulls are disease free and vaccinated. They all have great tolerance to hot and cold climatic conditions and are regular breeders.

Hi,

Does that mean the number of laction days is less than 300. :confused:
 

The lactation period is taken as 300 days for recording purposes. The milk yield is never going to be constant for 300 days. For assesment of lactation yield you may multiply the peak production per day by 200 and you will arrive at approx. lactation yield. For e.g. If peak yield of a cow is 30 kg per day thein the milk you may expect in to produce in a lactation period of 300 days is 6000 kgs (30*200).
