Portable milking machines with 30 litre can & fixed machines-1 to 10 cans at a time

For 1-10 cows –Trolley (less than 10 numbers, you are sure you will not expand)
For 10 cow farm likely to expand: Better buy fixed type with 1 can in the beginning where in you can add 1 more can.
For 20 cow farm – Buy fixed type with 2 cans so that the milking job will be over in an hour or max 75 minutes.
For 50 cow farm – Buy machines which can operate 4/5 cans at a time- meaning milk 4 cows at a time
For 60 cow farm- Buy machines which can operate 6 cans
For 100 cow farm –Buy milking machines which can milk 10 cows at a time
More than 100 cow in milking, better to go in for milking parlours – Swing/Parallel/Herringbone with milk meters and Clean in place (CIP SYSTEM).In parlours you will have to decide the number of cows to be milked at a time, whether milk measurement is needed for every cow, then you need to have milk meters attached to each unit.

Milking Machines - Portable and fixed models

Milking Machines are 100% safe, it helps you to collect milk without froth and dust. It takes 6-8 minutes to milk a cow irrespective of its yield. There is no harm in using a milking machine. It can never take blood out of the cow even if you keep it there for 15 minutes after completing the milk let down. No harm is caused to the cow as the vacuum is passed on to the cow’s teats after regulating it. You will get good clean milk without froth from the machine. The only thing is after milking you need to open the milking can lid, measure the milk and pour it to another preferably SS or Aluminum vessel. Avoid milk getting touched by hands as it prevents multiplication of microbial content in milk and can last for more time. It’s always better to chill it immediately after milking. For that too never depend on locally made coolers. Go for Company made coolers only.

Locally made stuff will give you trouble and draw more electricity.

If you have 2 milking can machine, for 25 cows I think in 1.5 hours your job will be done. Ladies can operate this machine. Just attach and detach milking clusters to the cow’s udder. Its always better to use iodine teat dips after milking to dip the cows teats. Non returnable dip cups are there. After each dipping, pour the dipped solution on the floor so that the used solution is not used for the next cow.

When there is no milk seen in the milk sight glass (In machines imported from Turkey, you have two piece liners, with a milk sight glass in between having a transparent part between the liner and the short milk tube). In other machines, single piece liner or in the milk claw bowl bottom (the transparent part in which you can see milk getting collected from each teat), you please put the weight of your right hand in the milk claw so that extra weight is added to the milk claw bowl bottom part. Remember to put your hand on the dark part, over the top of the milk claw bowl bottom( the piece where the rubber liners are attached to the plastic part, normally its above the transparent part), so that it gives that extra weight on the four teats of the cow, like you squeeze the last milk from the teats . When the milking is about to be over, the same action is done by putting little extra weight. The milk sight glass helps you to see the milk flowing out from the 4 teats as you don’t have to bend too much to see the bottom milk flowing from the 4 teats.

Advantages of using a milking machine

• Elimination of Labour
• Free from dependability on Labour force
• Milking Consistency
• Reduced stress for cows
• Fixed timings
• Complete milking
• Hygienic way
An efficient and effective milking routine is to leave the lowest possible amount of residual milk in the udder. Milk ejection can be stimulated manually or by a series of activities carried out by the person who is going to do milking or hearing the noise of the electric motor in a milking machine running. The amount of residual milk is inversely proportional to the strength of the conditioned stimuli signals, which are developed into a regular, repetitive milking routine, which includes activities such as feeding and udder preparation. The stimulation response is transitory and the maximum effect will decline in a few minutes of milk ejection occurs.Delayed milking will reduce the amount of milk removed. The internal pressure of milk within the udder peaks between one and two minutes after milk ejection and therefore milking must be completed as soon as possible after this activity happens. It is important to avoid any circumstances which upset or frighten them causing the release of adrenalin which will have adverse effects on the circulation and muscular systems, thereby restricting effective milk ejection and prolonged duration of milking
Electrically operated Milking Machines is the modern way to milk cows– ISO certified and manufactured as per EU norms - . We buy machines to avoid manual labour, dependency on Labour, save time, maintains hygiene, and most importantly to get clean milk completely within the time frame.

Milking Machines with 30 litre SS cans. We have machines which can milk 1/2/4/5/8/10/12 cows at a time.

We welcome your valuable enquiries.

Advantages of Milking Equipment

Water intake by dairy cows

Water consumption is related to feed intake, weather conditions, and milk production and stage of lactation. Lactating milk cows drink from 80 to 100 litres of water in a day. Drinking water satisfies 80 to 90% of the daily water requirements of a dairy cow. Water usage for drinking increases with milk production levels. Adequate water system capacity and water rights are needed to make allowances for future increase in milk production. Water consumption was greater more the center alleys. So dairy owners must consider additional space and more water troughs at these watering stations.
Milk is composed of nearly 85% water. An adequate supply of quality water for dairy cattle is extremely important for dairy cattle. Farmers provide cows with free access to fresh water at all times. The water requirements of lactating cows are closely related to milk production, moisture content in the feed and environmental factors such as air temperature and humidity. The cow's peak water intake occurs during times of greatest feed intake.
Water is the most important nutrient for dairy cattle. Dairy cattle need free access to clean, quality of water for optimal production and it must be low in saline content. Water intake is affected by factors such as environmental temperature, ration dry matter content and milk production. A high-producing lactating dairy cow can drink over 120-150 litres of water during summer season.

Selection of Cows

Selection of cows:

• Buy cows which are healthy, look for the milk vein under the stomach ending in udder.
• Better buy de-horned cows.
• Always find out what feeds were given to that cow and slowly switch over to the feed available in your area. A sudden change might result in drop of yield.
• Buy cows which have just delivered within 3 weeks.
• Better to buy cows less than 5 years of age.
• Normally in cows, the first 3 lactation are good. The best will be 2nd and third.
• Look for signs of mastitis, problems due to delivery, any infections suffered like FMD needs to be checked.
• Its always better to check the milk yield by the purchaser by milking the cow continuously for 3 times.
• Reduction in teat size after milking is a good sign. Teat size must be long.
• Bright eyes, big stomach, long body, good skin texture with polished hair, are other natures to look out for.
• Udder and teats must be soft.
• Better to de-worm the cows after purchase. Not immediately, after 1 or 2 months.
• Never buy cows believing brokers words. They project a big picture as their aim is to make money from both ends.

Housing of dairy Cows

Housing of dairy cows:-

Feed racks with headlocks locks are installed in dairy farms to make use of the available space. Cubicles provide comfortable space - assuring resting place for each cow and feed racks make sure the cow is forced to eat what is given. The locks can easily be opened and closed with one lever. It is specially designed to feed young and mature cows. It helps in moving the cows safely during feeding time and no stampede during the feeding process, and it allows you to make the feeding according to the various animal groups in the barn. The feeding locks have a practical on-off mechanism. The feeding locks will be manufactured by hot dip galvanized plating to protect them against corrosion. It’s available with or without headlock arrangement. It will be easy to fabricate mushroom type cubicles for small farms. Head locks are normally seen in farms having large dairy herd. For small farms, partitions is the best way to house cows, thereby giving lying space for each cow, and its feeding slot right in front of the cow.

You must keep all 4 sides of the barn open. Split roofing is also ideal for large dairy herds. It’s better to ensure light passage in the roofing by using transparent sheets in between.

Flooring:- It should be made from artificial materials, rough in design ensuring good grip for the cows, which can collect solar heat thereby assists in faster drying of the surface, easy to clean and avoids being not slippery. Cement concrete flooring with straight grooves is preferred. A slope of 1-3cm should be provided from manger towards the gutter at the back of the cow.

Proper housing climate is one of the pre-conditions for maintaining an ideal environment in all types housing systems. It will directly reflect on the well-being, health condition of animals and its overall performance. Conditions should be made to enhance the animal’s inherent ability to control its own temperature. Ventilation is essential for the supply of fresh air.

In dairy farming, the well-being of livestock plays a significant role in achieving most favorable herd result. Stress-free housing of dairy cattle is one of the major conditions for the realization of this goal. It is important to provide feeding, milking, comfortable resting, cow handling and the environment in a way enabling cows to milk up to their potential.

Let us know your requirements for milking -portable machines single can under 10 cows, fixed types with 1,2,5,8,10 cans at a time, and cow mats - straight edged, having 18mm thickness, bottom grooved etc.

Housing of dairy Cows / Buffaloes.

Requirements for housing

Housing systems must provide:
• A comfortable, well drained lying area, slightly above the floor level.
• Protection from adverse weather
• Provide sufficient space to allow the animal to move and lie down and rise freely without any risk of injury
• Freedom to have adequate food and fresh water to maintain health and vigor.

For a housing system to be successful, it must provide adequate space and the behavioral needs of the cow. The design of the barn and the level of methods applied can affect the health and welfare of the cows and this can have an impact on ailments such as lameness and mastitis.

Ventilation of dairy shed:-

Correct building design is critical to ensure adequate ventilation. This is very important in maintaining air quality.
To ensure good and enough ventilation, it is important that the building design must have:
• Provisions to avoid excess heat
• Eliminate excess water vapor
• Eliminate microorganisms, dust and gases
• Provide free flow of air
Natural ventilation is the best and most efficient and least expensive system for providing an favorable environment within a building. Buildings will naturally ventilate best when they are positioned at right angles to the wind directions there.

Fewer than 10 cow’s one sided housing is the best. For 30 cows, 15 on the right and 15 on the left side is better. Give 6-8 feet wide passage in the center.
Split roofing with a provision for air entry and exit in the centre is ideal.

Have drains sloping to one side and the waste water should flow towards the fodder land. Its better to install water spraying devices in the shed in case of Large Dairy Herd farms or spray water on cows. Spray water on cow’s body just before noon say by around 11 and clean cows just before milking in the afternoon so that the cows will be clean when they go for milking. Give provisions for enough water intake for all cows.

For your requirements on milking systems, water bowls, cow mats, barn scrapers, calf feeding bottles, Non kick bar etc. contact us.

Cow Mats / Hoof dip mats

Cow Mats:

. Prevents lameness
• Improves heat detection due to enhanced foothold and comfort
• Improves milk yield and fertility
• Excellent for young stock and bulls
• no bedding and therefore savings and reduced labour costs
• Increased animal confidence giving more comfort and welfare
• Increases profitability
• Keeps cattle cleaner
• More milk production
• Less falls and injuries
• Less lameness and hoof problems
• Rubber surface reduces the disease occurrence due to bacterial attacks
• Opportunities for mastitis and udder contamination very little.
• Heat loss resistance
• Thermal insulation rejects cold and dampness from concrete. Keeps cow’s body heat from dissipating.
• Tests show that increased milk production results from improved comfort - lying and standing. Mats provide a pleasant lying surface and a comfortable cushion when standing.
• Rubber compounding and design gives solid footing and added protection against udder injuries and abrasions.
• Up to 75% less bedding required.

Blood flow to the udder, is directly related to the level of milk production. Milk production will be higher, when a cow is lying down than when a cow is standing. So giving them a good bedding to lie down is very important. Cow mats protects the cow from the cold and damp floors, protects the cow from infections due to resting on cold/dirty floors. Mats also saves lot of water used for washing the cows and floors. We deal with milking equipment's as per ISO standards, and cow mats, straight edged, bottom wide grooved. If proper care and protection of your dairy herd are high in your farm then, you must ensure an efficient method to keep stalls clean resulting in better hygiene standards, free from bad smell and odour. Happy cows give more milk.

We deal with milking equipment and cow mats.

Cow mats, straight edged, 6 feet x 4 feet x 18 mm thickness, bottom wide grooved enabling water/urine to drain underneath

Approximately 45 Kgs
Easy to Install
Made of Natural rubber for high durability.
Mats can be used in all size cubicles
Solid rubber provide the cows ultimate comfort.
Will not expand or tear like light weight mats.

Hoof dip mats available, hollow mats too available. Your enquiries are most welcome.
