Import of Boer-Goats from Australia/South Africa

I would like to import 1 Buck and 5 Does pure breed Boer Goats from Australia/South Africa for my new farm in Thrissur. Anyone could provide me advice on how to handle Livestock importing to India.

to Import it ?

International Agriculture Research ( ACIAR) Nimbkar Kuushi Sanshodhan

Center has developed a new breed of goats , a hybrid variety with the

combination of African Boer and best quality of Indian variety of goat .

This new breed is called " NARI SUVERNA " which is capable of producing

"TWINS".

yes ....you can Import .....

Exporting will be much cheaper then buying in india.....in the price of one u will get two but u have to be in contact with Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying)

u need to have order minimum quantity from the supplier..

But this is not pure breed. Whatever is sold here as Boer is so expensive.I have thoroughly gone through your web site.
I feel importing pure breed from Africa or Namibia will be better option.
