I am Looking For Turmeric Leaf Extraction Process

I came to know that there is a Turmeric leaf oil extraction Process.

Bcos in my area all turmeric leaf are fired and wasted.

So due to that i need to know abt the process and what is the usage of turmeric leaf oil.

hi,

The oil can be extracted through steam distillation process. Turmeric leaf oil contains various bioactive compounds out of which Curcumin is the major constituent. Because of the reported presence of Monoterpene compounds to the tune of 26.6 to 30.9%, the oil can also be used as an active fumigant, repellents or insecticides for stored grain insects, for aromatherapy, for pharmaceutical use, for flavouring purposes etc. The recovery per cent is around 2 i.e. if 100 kg leaf is used, it produces 2 lit. oil only.
