We are looking to recruit a Operations Manager for our Goat Husbandry division in first quarter (Jan - Feb) of 2014
Procurement : Experience and ability to secure live animals from local and district level animal markets. Ability to identify desired animals based on breed, size, weight and condition. Ability to navigate between large and small herd owners and effectively negotiate a fair purchase price.
Herd Management : Responsibilities will include daily upkeep and animal maintenance. Key tasks include daily feed management, animal housing oversight and supervision, developing animal health screening schedule, tracking animal pregnancy and responsible for developing post-delivery care protocols. Experience with labour management and task delegation is important.
Business Development : Identifying potential direct retail clients and meat shops. Work with potential clients to understand their meat demand pattern. Ability to gain trust of potential clients and convert them to profitable customers. Reliably supply customers with animals based on their requirements. Manage billing and payment collections, provide customer incentives as agreed by management. Effectively strategize with management team to develop sales targets and expansion plans. **Will be eligible for sales commission**
Education and Experience : At least 5 years of related experience and bachelors degree in related field. Candidate must be fluent in Tamil.
Compensation : Competitive pay rate based on experience and skills. Quarterly commission will be given based on sales targets and annual bonus is possible for the right candidate based on performance. Very attractive total package.
