Thinking of persuing my passion and making some money out of it, trying to search the web if breeding the horse is possible for commerial purpose, but am unable to find.
Can you please let me know, how much capital is required for the same and is it profitable or not in Gujarat region?

Horse breeding is good business if you know the technics, you just can't start horse breeding farm with out any knowledge or experience, unlike cattle, sheep and goat mare won't give birth every year are so, if a mare gives 5 or 6 young ones its great.
Horses are different kinds, one who run in the race are called thoroughbred this is being trained at the age of 2 and retired at the age of 5 or 6, then you can see this in the beach or school/colleges for raiding purpose this can't perform like a horse you see at marriage functions.
other super breed in India is Marvadi(native of Rajstan) and Kathyavari(native of Gujarat), this can be trained to perform any act.
then the local work horses which pull cartload or take load on the back
which horse you want to breed?
like other member said all vets are knowing thoroughly about horses, a traditional horse man can tell more than the vet.
If you are ready you must have land and shelter to rear horses land for cultivation of fodder and trained people to look after the horses.but selling is again problem every one don't buy them but thoroughbred can be sold for good price again there are specialized people already there in the market can you compete them?
