Hi Selvi Sairam,
Karuveli trees are wonderful nitrogen fixing trees. The roots of the
Karuveli trees are living space of nitrogen fixing bacteria. Please do not uproot them.
Destroying one karuveli trees means, you are shutting down a factory which supply
"Free Urea" to you, so do not uproot them.
You can cut the branches, barks and sell them for fuel wood and make them regrow. Many advantages are there in this. I will list few
1) You are not shutting down your "free urea" factory
2) You are creating enough fuel for yourself and to sell
3) As you cut down branches and let enough sunlight to fall on the crops
and it may also work as wind shield. you are making natural green
house for shade loving crops.
4) You are giving a living space for birds and spiders for controling pests
There are disadvantages too like brids can eat the crops.
But it can be managed to have a minimum negative effect
on the crops.
