I happened to see the vedio on U tube about the life altering success of people of Hirwe Bazar by the community effort to conserve water.
We have a success story and a path charted to replicate the same in all the villages of India,but we dont see this happening any time soon.
Where are we stuck is it lack of leaders like Mr Popalt lal Pawar who is the sarpanch of the village since 15 years +
All the political leaders have showered praises and awards on this village, but no political actions has been taken to take it to all the villages of Maharashtra where farmers are commiting sucides day in and out.
May be there is some political gain in the name of vote bank politics which they wont be able to play if they also become independent like the commom masses of Hirwe Bazarhwhere they didnt need any help from the centre or state to mke there village an ideal village.
