Hello,
I plan to purchase 5 HF cows which are of high pedigree which gives 20 litres of milk...kindly suggest me some feeding principles....I grow my own green fodder.....apart from that would be the feed maintainance of the cow

For 100kg of concentrated formulation
Barly/Chuni: 30%
Crushed Maize/Jowar/Bajara: 35%
Sunflower cake (7%)
Cotton seed cake (20%)
Groundnut cake (8%)
Common Salt 1kg
Chelated mineral mixture(Agrimin forte/Bestamin gold /any suitable mineral mixture consulting to local expert veterinarian: 1kg
Shell grit: 1kg
Add 20 gms of probiotics powder per animal to increase milk production & fat % age in buffaloes

Green fodder requirement for cow is 10% of its body weight that is cow requires 40kg of green fodder(in which 30 kgs of cereals as Hybrid napier/maize/jowar and 10 kgs of pulses like Lucerne/cowpea or Stlyosanthes).
Dry fodder requirement is 5-6 kg per day.

I have a query bat green fodder ...I plan to give 30kg of either co4 or co29.....and 10 kg of cow pea am I correct ....35% pf rice bran
30% of maize bran....30% of groundnut cake ...2% salt... Mineral mixture 3 %....
