guar cultivation

My query is whether guar cultivation is profitable or not.If yes what is cost of cultivation vis a vis yeild per acre.The selling price of the produce (approx.) i.e.,guar seeds in the market.Pl give the details if anyone has information.

Hi Sukumar,

Profitability depends on various aspects. The current selling price of guar seeds is Rs7000/100kg. It can be exported as well. Please contact APEDA for export value details. The cost of cultivation comes close to 40000Rs/acre.
