Black pepper rightly called ‘Black Gold’ (Piper nigrum) has indeed proved it’s worth. From Rs.4,000 /quintal a few years ago, it gradually rose to Rs.30,000 / quintal 10 months ago and breached Rs.84,000 / qt. last month. The prevailing average rate is Rs.62,000 / quintal.
This is the right season to plant Pepper. It can be grown on Areca nut, Coconut trees. Silver oak and other trees in Coffee estates can also be used as supporting trees.

We supply them from Western Ghat section ( Malnadu) in Karnataka where pepper is cultivated as a traditional crop along with Areca.. It is the region that contributes a major share in total Pepper production in India.
The cost depends on quantity.
