Hi Everyone,

I am an IT Consultant working for a large IT company in India. Agriculture has been my passion from childhood. I bought an agriculture vacant land about 4 years back and I have developed this dry land into a farm in the last four years. though there is lot of furhter work to do, I have gained good amount of experience in developing an agriculture land by now. With 6 acres of land, after having spent quite an amount of time, I have started getting reasonable returns and I am hopeful to increase this to a substantial revenue in next two years.

I know that there are many more people like me working in different sectors but still are very passionate about agriculture. but they are unable to carry on with their passion because of variuos reasons like
1. lack of time
2. lack of knowledge

I can assist such people with my experience in the agriculture. I understand the various challenges of agriculture from the point of view of a businesman and not purely from the point of view of a farmer. Can you please tell how you juggled the agri farm with your IT career? How much time did you devote to the Agri activity? What problems did you face? How long did it take you to break even & what type of hurdles did you face?

I am a businessman looking to get into greenhouse farming as an additional part-time activity and eventually a slow retirement activity and maybe a slower pace of life sooner than later.

Your viewpoint would be very interesting to me.
