stall fed goat farm

Size of Goat Farms

what would be considered as a large sheep farm (stall fed) in India. Are there any stall fed farms with 5,000 plus sheep?
 

Hello,

As far as my Knowledge goes,There is only one farm in Hisar (The Central Sheep Breeding Farm) with a flock structure of around 5000 sheep,They don't stall feed their sheep and no where in the world farmers stall feed their sheep through out the year.They do it for few days in western countries when there is a huge snow fall and for a couple of months to finish culling lambs.

We have a couple of farms near Bangalore who stall feed their sheep through out the year and the flock size is below a thousand Rambouillet crossbreeds.
