Dear all,

Can anyone tell how much quantity or percent of Tomato, Mango and Onion goes to processing. Is there any method of estimating this no. roughly.

It depends on the purpose u have grown the crop.
If u want total produce of tomato or mango to be processed u can keep for processing.

do u want the figure of processing in India?

The processing of fruits and vegetables is estimated to be around 2.2% of the total production in the country.( as per the ministry of food processing in India)

The statistics of the karnataka state is available in the Horticultural Statistics of karnataka at a glance book published annually. There are 62 registered food processing industries in Karnataka.
