Indus Biogreen Farms Private Ltd is a new generation agribusiness venture setup by highly qualified and experienced professionals with the vision of developing the business to an end to end, farm to market, enterprise (integrating scientific and professional approach in agriculture/horticulture with the developments in agribusiness supply chain and marketing).
Please note that Indus Biogreen Farms Private Limited wants to recruit two fresh Horticulture Graduates for the following positions:
Trainee Horticulture Specialist – Farm Management
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement suitable package of practices that will result in:
a. Maximizing the yield and productivity of the farms.
b. Introduction of modern agricultural practices and techniques such as fertigation
c. Ensure higher quality produce with superior market acceptability.
d. Control on yield timing to maximize net return from the produce
e. Effective and appropriate plant protection and pest/insect/disease prevention & control mechanism
f. Optimize the operating cost and efficiency of the farms
g. Market oriented and appropriate harvesting and post harvest handling
2. Constant monitoring of the health and productivity of the plants to achieve substantially superior yields.
3. Develop and follow appropriate systems for record keeping and data analysis.
4. Interact with agricultural universities, technical institutions, progressive farmers, etc to constantly bring in better technologies, practices and knowledge in farming, harvesting, post harvest handling, value addition, etc.
5. Liaise with agriculture department and various government agencies to avail as much subsidies and scheme benefits as possible.
6. Explore and study the feasibility of various crops and varieties for farm expansion.
7. Monitor and review of resource utilization in the farm to achieve better management control.
8. Incorporate and adopt appropriate organic farming practices towards long-term health and sustenance of farm eco system, while keeping the productivity and quality objectives.
9. Develop a sense of belongingness, dedication and commitment among farm workers towards the farm objectives and build a coherent team.
Trainee Horticulture Specialist – Product Management
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop and implement appropriate and market oriented harvesting, post harvest handling, packaging, storage and transport systems and methodologies for various produces.
2. Continuously strengthen and expand the supply side by identifying new farms to source produces from, entering in supply contracts and training the farmers on cultivation, harvesting and post harvest handling, with a market oriented vision.
3. Tracking the real price trend of various produces in various regions and periods to take the best decisions on sourcing, storage and marketing..
4. Identify competitive buyers of various produces in various markets and maintain active relationship with such buyers so as to secure the best prices and payment terms while selling produces beyond captive market capacity.
5. Liaise with various government agencies to avail the subsidies and scheme benefits available for modern harvesting, post harvest handling, packaging, storage and transport of the produces.
6. Interact with agricultural universities, technical institutions, progressive farmers, etc to constantly bring in better technologies, practices and knowledge in farming, harvesting, post harvest handling, value addition, etc.
7. Explore and study the feasibility of various crops and varieties for market expansion.
8. Act as a bridge to ensure seamless coordination between markets (captive market and non-captive market) and farms (own farms and other farms)
9. Explore and study the feasibility of value addition & processing opportunities for various produces.

Education: Graduate in Horticulture from TNAU
Gender: Equal preference for male and female candidates
Location: Theni district
Salary: As per market standards (flexible for the right candidates)
