Mr. R.Parama Sivam, Farmer says-

It may be. But public will be affected. So it is better for the consumer and farmer if they have something like Ulavar Santhai in Tamil Nadu.

Dr. Sandha, CEO says-

Nestle in Moga Punjab is working with dairy farmers for milk. food is the most consumed, most sold commodity, but the work done so far and even the speed of ongoing work is nowhere close to its importance. Food parks offer a good opportunity for farmers, NGOs and Entrepreneurs; you have the facilities of sourcing, testing and logistics at one place. This will minimize the wastage also and get the farmers his real worth.

Mr. S.M. Karuppanchetty, Chief Operating Officer, Agri-Business Incubation (ABI) program says-

Though we are number one in food grain production, 42 % of our population is malnourished, which is worse than that of Africa. We waste more than 30% of fresh produce or a total loss of more than Rs 36000 crore annually.

Given these facts, if we can enhance the value of the raw materials and develop value added products, it will help in reducing wastages, increase shelf-life, generate employment and help farmers get better returns for their produce. The sector thus offers lot of scope for entrepreneurship and through which local economic development can be achieved. Food parks thus remain useful.

Mr. Vasant Rao, Director, HPL Global Services Pvt Ltd says-

No. What we need is to develop clusters at the various village levels so that all the farmers in the village grow similar crops. Government has taken some initiative in this regard. For e.g. the Government of Karnataka plans to convert Udupi into a flower growing area as it is famous for its "Mallige" flowers. Similarly, Ratnagiri can concentrate on Alphonso mangoes. Attention is being given to increase coffee and cardamom cultivation in Coorg. Each region has its specialty and this has to be developed.

Mr. Anil Patil, Chief Consultant says -

Any innovative idea to support agriculture is welcome, only its implementation should be done realistically avoiding delay and red tapism. Many facilities and supports are made available for business houses in food parks and generally this is agro industry category. Farmers are indirectly benefitted as demand for their produce is created.

Mr. Pranay Mehta, partner. says-

Yes and no. If there is someone to explain the whole process to the visitors, then yes. But also another factor is visitors. If they have just come to visit without any particular interest towards agriculture, it is not useful
