earthworms required

i need earthworms for the vermicompost pit of size 16 * 5* 3 feet . my farm is near bangalore around magadi town. please let me know the cost / kg as in bangalore a few dealers of vermicompost are selling them at exorbitant rates.what would be the quantity of worms required?
