Drip Irrigation for home gardens

Hi,

I wanted to know if its useful/sensible to opt for dip irrigation in home gardens (about 9000 sq ft space). Or does it make sense to go in only for sprinklers....

Worked for me

I have only about 2000 sq ft of garden ... and yet I find the drip/sprinkler system useful. It cuts out the time required to water the garden (and also helps me learn for bigger ventures on my farm).

I have used drip as well as sprinklers.

Another benefit which I have achieved partially, is to use the greywater from my house (kitchen, bathroom waste water) and pump it through this drip system. That water has organic nutrients and is actually good for the plants (as long as you don't use harmful chemicals like shampoos and phenyle ... basic soap is OK). Saves potable water from being wasted in the garden.

Hope your project works out fine.
