Doubts about goat farming

Hello all,

I have read several threads on this website regarding goat farming, they are very informative, but I have a doubt regarding the price of goats, the selling price of live weight goats is much higher (compared to prices on this forum) than what we get here locally. If I have to start a goat farm with stall fed system, can i compete with the sheperds who just take them to grazing.

Yes; you can. Try to grow your own fodder. Try to sale your goats on best markets; like "Bakari Id" for cheap and best fodder growing "machine" contact their experiment is in progress and they may achieve the goal in about a year's time. If your goal is to produce milk; use your imagination to sale it locally (at high price). Study "Goat Milk" on google and you will get idea. Best luck – Daniel
