[Doubt] Reg: Land Ceiling for Agri firms

Dear frens,
I have been using this site as guest since long time and it is really usefull to know various information. I really appreciate the efforts taken by both users n moderators. Iam penning down my first post..pls help me

I have few queries regarding land ceiling act. pls give me ur inputs to clarify the same. They are:
1. Is there any limit for land ceiling on the agri lands for purchasing for a agricultural firm (pvt ltd)? say for coporate farming etc
2. If so, how much?
3. Are there any specific acts for states like AP & karnataka? what I meant was, are there any different rules for different states?

Pls resolve my queries.

land ceiling

Dear sir,
Each and every state is having its land ceiling act upon which any person can buy land accoding to his requirement. It is variable between irrigated and unirrigated. The company is also a part of a person. THe corporate can also purchase according to its requirement but within the ceiling act. The govt. can relax the ceiling depending on the requirement of the company in exceptional cases. THe govt. can also give industrial land as allotment like in case of karnataka industiral corporation (KIDC). to companies. I hope this will clarify your doubt. regards
