Hello,
CAN I TRANSFER KATHA TO MY NAME AFTER I GOT THE LAND PURCHASED/REGISTERED FROM SINGLE LAND OWNER HOWEVER CASE HAS BEEN FILED IN THE COURT IMMEDIATELY AFTER REGISTRATION, BY ONE OF HIS COUSIN BROTHER?
I bought an agriculture land about 4 months back in June 2013 by registering it in Sub-Regitrar's office.
Details of Owner : Single Owner with no brothers or successors to him. Owner's "Father" had a brother who has 3 successor's hence the owner has 3 cousin brothers. Land has been divided during owner's father was alive.
FYI: The cousin brother's were forcing the owner to sell the land to them and owner was not interested at all.
Everybody suggested we apply for Katha after a month from registration, in this period the cousin brother's of the land owner had filed a case saying partition of land has not happened properly during their father's period and it has to be corrected.
I approached lawyer and revenue officer regarding Katha. They said the case has nothing do with your Katha. In the process I paid the amount they demanded for Katha. Now it has been more than two and a half month but I have not yet received Katha.
Can I get the Katha to my name even after a case has been filed in court?
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE SUGGEST ME HOW I CAN TAKE THIS FORWARD ?
