Dairy Farming

Dear Sir,
I want to start Dairy farm at Lumding, 180 kms. from Guwahati. I dont have any knowledge of dairy farming but I am interested. I want to know the detail requirements for setting up of Dairy Farm. First I want to start with cows (preferably exotic breeds) as buffaloes are not available here.

Dear sir,
*Each cow cost around 30000 calculate yr total cost. which is yielding milk around 20 ltrs a day.
*since u have yr own land water not much cost u will have to errect the shed the which will
cost around 25000.
*for maintaining 25 cows u need 3-5 labour.(Milking,cleaning etc ).
* U may have to spend Rs.100-150 for on feeds every day.
*Medicle expense around 10000\month.
*Best cow breeds are H.F/Jercy/Redhenn so an .
to maintain some 20 cows atleast 1 ha land. and neared to city or milkdairy


U can write a project to Nationalized bank even in NABARD they will finance for yr project. or contact near by vetenary office for further details.
