along with your 5 lankhs you can get 3-4 fold loan up to 20 lakhs from all nationalized banks and you will get subsidy up to 25 % from state department of animal husbandry. 20 to 25 lakhs is ideal capital to start 20 to 25 cows then you ruffly 400 to 600 ltr of milk easy to manage marketing. secondly you under go a hands on training on dairy in nearest animal husbandry department or agriculture university, KVK in your state.
