Cultivation od Curry Leaf Plants
These are sturdy and low maintenance shrubs - need to be planted at a distance of atleast 5 feet radius from each other. The ground needs to be prepared by digging 1 foot square (1 x 1 x 1 feet) hole in the ground. Some cow dung or leafy manure needs to be filled before the saplings are introduced into the pit.
The plant is a shrub, grows in India up to 6 feet tall. It needs regular watering initially for the roots to develop. Once growth starts there is not much maintenance apart from making sure that the plants are getting enough moisture in the soil and there is no water logging.
As the plants grow, keep trimming them regularly to maintain a supply of young leaves. This is to be conducted more often in the monsoon season and boosts the plant to produce more shoots and brances faster. Water regularly and feed during the growing season gives a good crop of curry leaves.
This plant does not tolerate water logging; as soon as it gets too much water, it starts exhibiting yellow leaves.
Ty to trimthe palnt to about 6 feet height,as it gets more difficult to harvest when they grow higher. If uncontrolled the shoot up to heights of about 15 feet.
Once they are mature occasionally cut low lying brances so that it is easier to see the trunk and new growing offshoots.

Cuury Leaf Saplings
Good day
I only have the saplings (small plants) suitable for replanting. I'm wondering what the seeds are used for - we have seen the flowering & seeds - but do not bother to collect.
Our saplings propgate through the roots of the adult trees than from seeds though.

A 2 acre plantation would require about 2,500 saplings at a distance of 5 feet from the nearest Curry leaf tree. This includes passage for water chanelling & extra spacing for a small wheelbarrow to get through.

Curry Leaves (Karuveepillai) cultivation.
Curry leaves cultivattion is very interesting one now a days.Because the curry leaves are vital role in cooking .And also the curry leaves contents minarels like silver .So its very good for health and keeping the body very cool always .So we should consume the curry leaves frequently with food in the form chutney ,chillipowder for idly & dosa.But normaly we are using the curry leaves for aroma purpose thats also good .The curry leaves also medicinal plant and also in southindia the ayurvedic,siddha & herbal hair oils are preaparing with curry leaves.In curry leaves somany deshi (country varieties are availiable like black green big leaves,black green smalleaves & light yellow small leaves with stalk red ( senkampu,senkari).Among these varieties the the senkari is the best deshi variety having rich aroma & more oil content.This variety is very usefull for commercial purpose and cultivations.
The spacing dimension of 5'x5' will not gives more & expected yield.In tamilnadu the farmers are planting the curry leaves plants in spacing dimension of 2.5'x2.5' (in black soil @ Kovilpatti.Tuticorin Dist).In this pattern of planting the curry leaves the farmer told that he get 50 kgs per week .So the the yield will be 200 kgs per month per acreAnother type planting method like row to row 5' and plant to plant 2.5'.By this method the farmers will gets nearly 75 kgs per week .So total yield will be 300 kgs per month per acre(in redsoil 2 karamadai ,mettupalayam ciombatore dist & sithaiyankottai,Nilakottai dindugal Dist) We are able to supply Senkari variety curry leaves plants against confirmed orders only.

we are having the naked seedlings also for sale.But this should be planted in the polybags and keep for some times i.e newshoots will comes.we also having the settled plants in poly bags ready to plant in your land.The senkari deshi variety is the fine variety among curry leaves.
