My recommendation to you is not to go in for local cows for your dairy farm and you should plan to keep lesser number of cows but with better milk yield.If you have some experience of Cross bred you could go in for H.F./Jersey Cross bred cows and you still insist on indeginous cows you should look for Sahiwal/Gir/Red Sindhi/Tharparkar cows since these are milch type of Indeginous breeds and you can expect 10 to 15 ltrs of yield per day.
