I have started a Trust Named Dhondo Moreshwar Ambekar Trust at my native place Sangameshwar, Dist Ratnagir,Mharashtra. The aim of the trust is mainly Rainwater Harvesting, Organic Farming and Nature conservation.
My village Shembavane is not much populated(only 262 families) but have abundant land without any cultivation. This is because of illiteracy. Only cultivation is of Rice that too dependent on monsoon rains and Mangoes and very little Khair as cash crop.
I am looking for guidance for Plantation of Mappia foetida on small scale basis.
Will anybody be able to throw any light on this subject? Can I motivate the natives for this cultivation? To begin with I am sure native people can spare around 10~15 acres of land for this purpose.
